Gusmac, Alec Salmond doesn’t know you, your wife or your children. If you or your family were to die tomorrow, it wouldn’t make a blind bit of difference to him. And if you and people like you, really mattered, he would be campaigning for the checks and balances to hold those in power to account. The public interest would come first, and his chums in the wealthy elite, last.

The fact is, you don’t matter, and he doesn’t care. :-|

Yes, the last bastion of the so-called democracy brigade. And the fact you've had to rely on it just proves how little you understand of the the world you live in.

You see Gusmac, you're supposed to believe that one man can make a difference. The truth is they can't.

New political representatives are elected, full of zeal and determination to improve the lot of the people. But the system soon brings them to its heel, they become the mouthpiece for it rather than those who elected them to rumble the system up in the first place.

Personally, and realising this, I tried to make something of a difference by corresponding with the local rag. Until I realised it is just a filter to remove any real argument from the electorate.

I set up Cabforce, to try to make a difference within my own trade. Only to realise that the power the system has over the sheeple brings them to behave in the way the system needs to protect itself.

Now, I don't pretend to have any wisdom in such matters. if I had I would have realised that those who truly do seek to change things understood how the system works hundreds of years ago. And their failure to defeat it resulted in civil unrest and even bloodshed. This is my failure. Although I prefer to think that the internet will change this and allow pressure to be brought for change without the need for civic violence.

But the real lesson learned is that the system doesn't give up its power and control easily. And Salmond and his Nasty henchmen exist to protect the system, because it delivers status to them in return.

And that status is to lord it over the sheeple like you Gusmac.

The Union isn't our problem. It's YOU Gusmac, and those like you who have swallowed the system hook, line and sinker.

You will still be able to tell us all that the system is corrupt, so is everyone in it and we need checks, balances and transparent, accountable government. And you still won't have a clue how to get it.
