Beats me that anyone would.

So, convince me why I should.

Well we know Herr Gusmac has been on the forum, yet is bashful about making his case.

So, no insults on this thread. Let's have your clear argument and if it is sound, I'll vote for independence; even argue for it.

Can't say fairer than that, eh

To help you get in the groove, here's some topics you will have considered, you have haven't you?, just to get you started. Just remember to tell us why about each topic.

EU - in or out?

Pound or Euro?

Full fiscal independence - yes or no?

Nationalisation of the railways - yes or no?

Public control of over-charging utility companies - yes or no?

Government control of the Banking sector - yes or no?

Monarchy - yes or no?

Nato or not?

International neutrality or not?

Local Government - reform or not?

Scottish Parliament - A new revising chamber or not?

Transparent government - yes or no?

Referenda on key issues - yes or no?

Abolishing of party whips in parliament and secret ballots for MSPs - yes or no?

Automatic elections when governing party's manifesto has been fulfilled - yes or no?

Elected officials restricted to two elected terms - yes or no?

Scottish legal system - modernised or not / freely available at point of use to all or not?

Policing - A police service or a police force?

Free speech or government restriction?

Free market commerce - yes or no?

Capital punishment - yes or no?

European Courts - yes or no?

Human Rights - yes or no?

Equality - yes or no?

Marriage for same sex couples - yes or no?

Student fees - yes or no?

Care for the elderly - yes or no?

Living wage - yes or no?

Immigration - yes or no?

Border controls - yes or no?

Nuclear deterrent - yes or no?

Nuclear power generation - yes or no?

Scottish National Party - disband on achieving independence or not?

Just a few to get you going. There are more, but let's see your policies on these. Let's know what kind of Scotland you would build after independence.

Look, I know it's not easy, but the point of the thread is to try to get some answers. You seem not to understand this.

So, please pick a topic and say something meaningful so that we can see why we should vote for independence.

:)

And here's me thinking the Forum is about a freedom of expression and general opinion.

Never commented in this section before and i am not aware of many of the issues, however theres 3 things i believe.

The Scottish people have the absolute right to decide whether they want to stay in the UK or Not =D> =D> =D> =D>

The Scottish people are clearly more intelligent than the English for i believe you have only 1 Vermin Tory MP =D> =D> =D>

And theres no doubt the Scots would dump the Von Windsor parasitical scum very soon after independence. :D :D :D :D

It looks like Gusmac, has gone all quiet over Independence. You see. That's what happens when you've been brainwashed into believing political rhetoric, but haven't a fecking clue what you are really voting for. #-o

Dear Trotsky's Twin

The Scottish people have the absolute right to decide whether they want to stay in the UK or Not =D> =D> =D> =D>

Yup, have to agree. But the whole point here is that when they make their decision they should at least understand what it is they're voting for. And the proposers are shy in coming forward with precisely what that is. No one has proven to me that what we will end up with will be nothing more than the same old same old, which will cost us even more, and the new clique will lord it over us in even worse degree as they exercise their new power.

The Scottish people are clearly more intelligent than the English for i believe you have only 1 Vermin Tory MP =D> =D> =D>

Would you have said the same about post WW1 Germans who voted their fascist party into power?

And theres no doubt the Scots would dump the Von Windsor parasitical scum very soon after independence. :D :D :D :D

Given that the Windsors are the very apex of the power pyramid which the ruling establishment depends on to keep the forelock tugging scum servile, why would they bin the Windsors. They'd only have to invent an alternative, and that would not carry the same weight or regard held for this historic bastion of privilege.

Fact is, the 96 would still be waiting for justice in an independent Scotland. I recall the lawyer when told by a witness that the other side would have to tell the truth, replied, "Truth son? This is a court of Law. There's no truth in here."

In a nation which only bestows Human Rights on those who can afford to go into court to establsh them, do you seriously think in an independent Scotland the Law Lords would give up decisions based on any truth that would erode their grip of the establishment?

Thanks anyway TT. At least you seem to have some thought out principles. A rare occurrance on this forum, I'm afraid.

=D>

Debating with you two is like fucking for virginity. Just a lot less fun

Anyway, didn't you just spend the last few months saying that none of your fuhrer's points, other than transparency of government, are important?

So who's right, you or him?

Love the way you two go missing for two days and then both show up again at the same time

Come on Gusmac, stop ducking the debate. You’ve been trying to sell this Independence nonsense for months. This is your chance to convince everyone, you know what you are talking about, so let’s hear your political argument that’s going to have everyone running to the polls to vote yes. #-o

And build a massive wall the width of the England with gun turrets every 100 yards to stop them coming south.

Aye, you can't beat a bit of racism, eh?

=D>

Why do I recall how, when the English led us into two world wars, it was the Scots, Irish, Welsh and others from every part of the Commonwealth and beyond who sacrificed their sons and daughters to get them out of the hole they foolishly dug?

Short memories methinks.
