Nearly right, Whizzkid.

The decline Jasbar mentions has occurred on the union's watch. The union also holds most of the economic levers required to reverse that decline.
Yet they fail to use those levers, other than to foist their austerity upon us and reward their own selfish kind with tax breaks.

None of the union parties even bother to pretend they will do anything for Scotland or its people these days. They are too busy sucking up to the south of England's voters to give a shecht about us.

Billions can be found for unwanted and unneeded nuclear weapons, yet letting our OAPs on the bus for free is unaffordable.

We can afford hundreds of millions every year to keep a couple of thousand Falklanders British, but we can't afford free prescriptions for our people.

We put more in the pot than we get back and we're told we're spongers. Nobody calls the Falklanders spongers but they get subsidised to the tune of hundreds of thousands a year each. Go figure.

You did miss Jasbar failing to answer my question though. I'll no hold my breath waiting.
I'll just expect some more schecht about transparency and fascism. Its a good distraction from the stuff that does matter to the average Scot.

No problem then guys.

Give us the vision. tell us how voting to change who controls us will make our lives better. It's a simple question.

You obviously understand the vision.

Tell us what it is?

Yes gets us the policies which matter to the majority of Scots.

No gets us the policies that matter to the Tories of England, i.e. more of the same and worse.

Its a no brainer Jas.

So, and I'm really interested to know, what are the policies that matter to Scots?

Are you being deliberately obtuse? Do your own research Jas.

But I'll give you a hand.
Transparency and accountability don't even make the top 20 for the vast majority of Scots.

Here's a good example of what does.

Ahhhh, now I see.

The Nasties want us to vote for Independence, with them at the helm, and when we ask why we're told to do our own research.

Doesn't sound much of a convincer to me.

Guess I don't see any difficulty about common sense winning the debate. Because the Yes wallahs are determined to ensure that there will not be any debate to win.

Perhaps they're just hoping that a few lone Scots standing to attention on a Commonwealth Games podium of medocrity, with the dirge that is Flower of Scotland moaning in the background, will be enough to tug enough Scottish hearts for the YES wallahs to win the vote?

Dearie me.

You, of course, want us to vote for the union so that we can continue to benefit from the benevolence of our right wing neighbours.
If you had your finger on the pulse, as you like to pretend you do, you would know what matters to the average Scot. You'd hardly need me to tell you.

If I've told you once, I've told you a hundred times. I don't speak for the SNP. I'm not a member.
Perhaps you are deaf or you just choose not to see what doesn't suit you.

As for a convincer, nothing would convince you. If a Scotsman told you grass was green you'd look for an Englishman to confirm it.
Then, of course, it'd be the SNP's fault. According to you, everything is.

Gusmac, you need to watch this video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l64zFyTuy_8

Pay particular attention to the part where the man himself, talks about how the PR industry, is used to control the public. :-|

Why? Because I don't idolise the guy like you do? He may be a God in your eyes but like I said, he bores me shitless.
Another genius who thinks plenty and talks even more. But he won't change anything because he can't, any more than you can.

Talk is cheap. And with you lot, there's an abundance.
We could come back in 20 years. He'd be dead, you'd still be spouting his gospel and bugger all would have changed.

And here's the real rub Gary. Hardly anyone in Scotland has even heard of Chomsky, let alone gives a fek what he has to say.
In 2014 he'll be a complete irrelevance to the people who will be voting on Scotland's future.

Firstly, I do not idolise anyone. However, I do value Chomsky’s opinion as one of the world’s foremost intellectuals. As do most people with the capacity for critical thought. In fact, I can’t think of anyone, off the top of my head, that has more knowledge and experience of how the political system works, in reality, and I doubt few people would disagree.

Secondly, if you’d actually watched the video, you would be referring to its substance. Instead, you choose to show yourself up by making stupid ignorant comments, like some sort of daft wee tartan buffoon. #-o

Chomsky simply explains how politicians have learned to harness the Public Relations Industry to control the vote by manipulating people’s attitudes and beliefs through their emotions.

In short, people like you who are poorly informed vote with their hearts and not their heads, which, all in all, explains where support for the SNP and Independence comes from. Really, it's akin to joining a cult of wee tartan fu*kwits. #-o
