 Post subject: Advice needed plz

Hi all does any one know when you can re apply for a taxi badge after its been revoked, it was revoked as driver was allready on a final warning for common assalt, then did not tell council for 3 points for whilst driving on a mobile, and also been arrested, but nothing became of the arrest he was found not guilty in a magistrates court , but the commitee said he was not fit and proper as he did not operate in clear and transparent manner,,,,,,, any advice cheers

He can appeal the council's decision to the Mags Court.

I doubt he will win, but that's the only route he has.

This chap is either very unlucky, or he is a wrong'en.

ha yea unlucky i guess just wondered if there was a time scale if he keeps a good record clean crb we was thinking a few years maybe!!!! :roll:

although in theory it isnt applicable, he should at least wait till all his convictions are spent under the rehab act, then request the chance to go before the full council and plead his case.....basically grovel

ok thx maybe a bit of hope left in a few years time one more thing how long does a criminal conviction of common assault last until spent or is that up to the council

depends on the sentence but a council MAY not accept its spent

Yes there should be.

I would contact the council concerned and ask for a copy of their enforcement policy, and a time-scale for him to re-apply.
