So Stansted has been sold then

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-21093783

I wonder if the new drop off arrangements and charges were to make the airport more attractive to Manchester either way the track record of Manchester in relation to our trade isn't great so I am wondering if this is going to mean our lives are going to get more difficult in respect of bookings to and from stansted

Didn't this same lot have to sell Edinburgh Airport as well?

Up the prices for airport runs then. I never can understand why people in my area do airports for about 35p a mile and earn less than £2 an hour doing it!

a few do that round here all they think of is the actual amount earned NOT the cost of earning it

Yes, too few think of that, hence my comments on the MK thread elsewhere!

no, they can only see what they TAKE, its not uncommon

I havent been near an airport for ages thank god, a) im too dear and b) ive other work

outbound is bad enough, but all that checking teletext, driving there, waiting outside, finding your passengers...brrrr, no thanks

too many are quoting under the cost of a week or two in the long stay carparks, thats logic for you...

when Ive flown from BHX ive parked there, a) i didnt have to wait for a cab hoping it was on time and b) the last driver we had woulda put Ayrton Senna to shame (and probably come to the same end)

Arrrow cars wont be getting into Stansted :D

recent changes are likely to be challenged some involve passengers having to walk 200 yards to get into their cab including disabled methinks theres a ruck coming :D

I would like to think you are right on this. However it is a damn site further than 200 yards from the arrivals gate to the arrivals hall and that won't change.

I've never had a problem with Manair, they don't charge to drop off and the short stay for pick ups isn't that expensive. Having said that I don't know what charges Stanstead introduced prior to it's sale.
