Just a thought Blackpool, my car has done 325k in the 6 years i've had it (as a PH), ie 54k per annum, on that basis a London cab
assuming similar mileage would do 650k in 12 yrs, plus the 3 odd years you have had it, it ought to have about 800k on it!
Maybe it's been clocked!

That's stupid I'd drill the Council a new backside if I were you, if it keeps passing tests at twice a year there's no reason why they can't plate it.

Roll up with a 58 plate Merc with 210,000 on the clock with a full dealer service history and ask them to plate it? If they don't they'll be in court being drilled a new backside.

200,000 mile limit is not very good if the car has been properly looked after it should not matter about milage

Nearly all the fairways have come of London plate now, there's a few left with a plate there. You don't think the owners of those would be still using them if they weren't the most reliable taxi made. I couldn't see many, mondeos, skodas still going after 15 Plus years used as a taxi. :D

48k on a 2 year, 3 month old London Vito Taxi.

It'll be retired with about 68k by November.

Is that all? 47000 on our 18 month old Toyota Auris hybrid and still on the original rear tyres with 4mm of tread left. The fronts were replaced 2 weeks ago for winter tyres.

My 52 reg Range Rover, 217000 on the clock and still capable of cruising the motorways of Europe at a more than legal speed.
