NO DOUBT BUT HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET IT INTO COURT WHO WILL PAY THE LEGAL FEES , AND I DOUBT HE WILL BE ABLE TO CLAIM LOSS OF EARNINGS :evil:

spoke to LA ... if i go in with exemption i would be classed as "not fit and proper" .. how does that work

I would guess that they are saying that as you drive a wheelchair accesable taxi then to do your job properly you must be able to load a wheelchair if required. If you can't do that then you will probably be in breach of some bylaw or condition. If that is the case then you may have to take the council to appeal at the magistrates court where, if you are properly represented, The council will get a bloody nose.

Go above him.

Your council by law must have an Equalities Officer, find out who he/she is and speak to them about the situation.

It's not worth speaking to your licensing officer any more.

Would of thought its a doddle to get a exemption,especially given by a doctor.Loads have exemptions from wheelchairs here

The cab is the last place I'd want to be if I was suffering a condition which left me unable to lift heavy things.
