Didnt know where to post this so sorry if its in the wrong place.
I just wanted to know what happens after a ph driver has lost his licence for drink driving (very silly i know) He got a 2 year ban and it ends soon, would the council let him work again or is there no chance of it?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

it will show up on the CRB check (assuming your council does one) so it would be up to your licencing dept to decide on that one.

but keep tight lipped about it. if you local paper is anything like the plymouth one, that driver working again would make front page news.

If he got a two year ban then it wasn't his first offence. So I think he will have to wait at least that lenght of time before he can reapply.

But each council does their own thing, so who knows. :?

Oh didnt realise that it wasnt his first offence with him being banned for 2 yr ??? really confused now, do they take into account how much you are over the limit when deciding how long your ban is for? Think i may have a liar for a bf hmmmm

Recommended five years free from conviction in the Red Book but it all depends on how the case is articulated on the day of the panel or committee hearing. If what you say is fact, then the person concerned is rather foolish.

Yes what i have said is fact and i agree it was very foolish of him, he had 13 years as a ph driver, all lost now by the look of it because of his stupidity
