A few weeks ago a little bird told us that forum contributor Robert Black was in fact Nigel Marchant.

There was certainly evidence pointing to this, and in the 'TDO Witch-hunt' on April 9 Sussex posted (rather obtusely):

Robert Black wrote:
Solicitors have to abide by a protocol i think, i could be wrong though.

Very informative, now who does that remind me of?

But given that 'Mr Black' has now popped up on TTF5 and kicked off by praising that forum and having a dig at us, we think that more or less confims it!

You would think the moderators on there would have a handle on this, but wait a minute, one of the moderators is the said Mr Marchant, who thought nothing of doctoring our posts on his previous forum (which lasted about a week), so presumably the odd fake identity won't trouble his conscience.

Another good one is Yorkie, who seems to go on there primarily to spread falsehoods about us, then stops and comes on here with a new ID and acts as if nothing has happened. Then we delete his profile and he scurries back to TTF5 to continue mud-slinging about TDO.

Well it's good to see that Yorkie clearly knows where the real debates are taking place, but his actions certainly won't get him back on here.

It would be nice to think that he might return here some day, but that would entail refraining from defaming us for more than a few days, and thus that's unlikely to ever happen.

But we should only reiterate what Alan Foster (who ran the original TTFUK) said when we started this forum:

I mean the internet actually has a name for you guys your called forum lurkers, and you are a cancer to list owners, and every forum throughout the land has to deal with you in your various guises.

Probably why he's now welcome on TTF5

mr black has just put this up over there.

Hi again yorkie they don't realise the true cost of running a cab my friend, insurance, hp repayments fuel depreciation and the hours of work, that's the main reason I finished driving, I sold my cab to a canny lad from Whitley Bay last year, I was offered a job with Southside Taxis in their offices a job I could not refuse. I worked 12 hour shifts 6 days a week on the road after my expenses fuel, office bit Hp repayments I was lucky to come out with £300, for 72 hours a week I could get more working in the fish processing plant in cullercoates. I'm off the road now it's much better I'm working 5 on and 5 off for more or less the same money.

                   and a thosand   more.

It would be nice, but I doubt a Yorkshireman could ever admit he got it wrong, and that those behind Taxi Driver Online aren't a bunch of liars.

It now seems that Nigel is denying being Mr Black. :^o

He is telling the other moderator that what TDO said is a pack of lies.

Well keep digging Nigel, and you never know in a week or two the truth will out.

Message for the Captain, why not just ring up that cab firm and speak to said person? :?

Nigel for once in your life just tell the truth.

Out of the 16 members on your site, three of them, you, Robert Black and another know that you are telling porkies.

Quite why you need to tell lies on your own site I'm not really sure, nor care.

But registering a new ID just to have a pop at this site is really really sad. [-X

Well I wouldn't worry too much about what happens on there, I was really just trying to make it clear that the RB on here is probably an impostor 8-[

However, what asking the purported RB about Sunderland is meant to achieve I really don't know, he would presumably try to find a place that he knows about to concoct a fake ID, and in any case could try to find out.

As Sussex says, the best idea would be to phone the cab company, but is anyone really that interested? Anyway, it's not that long since they managed to use a 'fine fencing' firm as a front for one of their fake IDs, complete with prima facie bona fide email address (lawyer talk that ) so they'll obviously go to reasonable lengths to deceive. And Nidge's previous incarnation as Alf Richardson had us fooled for a while - his message is fairly similar though - TDO isn't that bad, but TTF5 is definitely better - better not to sound too bitter and jealous

Meanwhile, I see Yorkie seems to be almost blowing a fuse, presumably because he can't get on here to abuse and belittle anyone who's new to the trade and asks a couple of simple questions - ie the only ones he's capable of belittling

And he seems to think it strange that those new to the trade might come on and ask questions.

Sorry, but I have to tell him that that's one of the things that the site was set up for, and any prominent site of this type will attract such enquiries.

And he seems to prove his case by telling us that he invited a bloke from Dundee to come and work for him for a few years and learn all there is to know about the trade from that sage of the north, Yorkie :D

But since he hasn't materialised then he must be a fake  :D

I think the likelihood of him taking up Yorkie's offer was miniscule anyway, but maybe the bloke wanted to learn the ropes from someone who knew the basics, like where he was allowed to ply for hire #-o

And because the lad doesn't travel from Dundee to Yorkshire to take up this offer then that makes him a [edited by admin]. How sad is that

You're keen cgull

Anyway, I read that Yorkie/Quality Transport/Harold Best/Wharfdriver/Jinxy/Paddington Bill/Sidewinder/numerous guests etc etc etc has accused me of being a liar - well that makes a change

What I said earlier in the thread related to the following that he posted:

And they have got another one on there, as they do every so often its always the same deliberatly bad spelt, I wanna be a taxi driver I am told you can earn £500 a week!

What licenses do I need and could I get through the Knowledge

Solicitors [edited by admin] about, every time, sometimes they are chronically sick and disabled as an addition.

So you tell the truth and the rubbish brigade come out!

So you make an offer come and work with me for three years, I will show you everything working to the rules of 2 LAs one who hasnt a clue what they are doing, and tells lies, the other a highly professional outfit

I will give you a good wage at the end, if you want to go home I will buy you a taxi.

yer cant see them for dust!

You couldnt believe how there tossers always find Taxi Driver Online!

Sadly I have some difficulty interpreting what he's saying a lot of the time, but my summary of the above, on which I based my earlier post, was as follows:

- He was accusing us of making up false IDs re newbies who posted in search of information about joining the trade;

- He offered one such person a job with him to show him the ropes;

- That person declined his offer, thus he was a [edited by admin].

(Well that's the main points I managed to extract, the rest I was insufficiently confident about to proffer an interpretation.)

What I assumed he was on about was the lad from Dundee who came on asking for information. After a few belittling remarks Yorkie obviously had a change of heart (or saw a money making opportunity) and said:

when youve had your license for 2 years, come down here an work for me for 12 months, I will teach you the office, the control, taxiing, taxibus operation, after 12 months you can decide. stay in England, and work your way into management, I will fund you a taxi to stay here and work it off, or loan you the money for one in Dundee

Now I assumed that that was who he was referring to in his recent message, and that he was a [edited by admin] because he hadn't moved from Dundee to Yorkshire to work for the Alan Sugar of the north.
