More MPG than the Morrisons [edited by admin]. What people don't understand is putting cheap fuel in will get you less MPG.

Is that why your only getting so many miles for £15, your spoiling the car and it dont like it, it must prefer the rough and ready

YES BUT the other BP which is only a mile away is 145.9 for diesel are you suggesting that two BP stations don't sell similar fuel and our Morrisons fuel comes from Colwick in Texaco tankers and is I believe produced at Lindsey refinery as is the BP fuel which comes from Lindsey via Buncefield so I would doubt there is a huge difference in quality especially as the staff at Morrisons say that some of the time they are selling it at cost which would suggest they are buying the same grade as BP

There must be some difference in all these different petrols. In the court case at the moment regarding the fire in a house in Derby. The prosecution provided evidence about where the petrol on the defendants clothing came from.

It will come from the same place but wont' have the additives in it. Do a full tank of BP then a full tank of Morrisons and see the difference.

It's like Hovis, they make bread for ASDA, they don't make it like they do their own brand but in some people's eyes it's bread all the same.

Morrisons will this week launch the UK’s first ever Fuel Saver scheme to help shoppers reduce their petrol and diesel bills.
Quote:
Fuel Saver is a new way of paying for products on the high street which gives customers much-needed savings at the pump. Similar schemes are popular in the US and Morrisons has joined up with 34 of the nation’s favourite high street brands - such as Next, Boots and Homebase - to bring Fuel Saver to the UK.

Fuel Saver works by families using gift cards bought in Morrisons to pay for purchases on the high street.

Customers pick up the cards during their weekly shop
They receive a voucher which gives them money off fuel: 1p-a-litre for every £10 they spend when they next fill up
They then use their gift cards like cash to pay for their shopping on the high street

Morrisons believes that Fuel Saver will be used by families looking to find a way of reducing high fuel prices. The current price of fuel on forecourts is rising to an average of £1.38-a-litre and £1.42 for diesel according to Experian Catalist
