I almost bought a Colt Starion with the wide arch body....and a Sunbeam Alpine 2 seater, and a VP 4ltr R, but didnt....

three personal faves for me a D reg moonstone blue cosworth which i made £9000 on :D Image

a granada cosworth which was awesome...never driven anything as nice even twenty years on,smooth,quick,comfortable and an awesome stereo

and as a taxi my R reg carina 1.8 ran it for years and it never ever went wrong,i swear to god ive never known a car like it

they were a strange car to drive,get them in the wrong gear and off boost a normal car could beat you :mrgreen: keep them in that sweet spot rev wise and they were brutal

i got mine locally off an old couple (how/why they had it i will never know but it was immaculate but run lumpy due to not being driven hard enough i assume) i paid 4000 for it and 3 years later sold it for 13000 :lol:

i was always into my rs cars growing up but over the years and having to run a taxi it just became too much money now i just have my taxi and thats it

i did drive a friends s1 rs turbo recently(i used to have one when i was a younger man and loved it) and it was hideous...no power steering,torque steer,uncomfortable,noisy

at the time i thought it was wonderful i used to drive up the high street checking myself out in woolworths window 8) and to this day though considering it is just a B reg ford escort they are one beautiful car they just look right

that is beautiful,if i had the spare cash id get one tomorrow

id hate to think of thr price of a mint mk 1,crappy low spec mk 2's and even [edited by admin] mk 4 cortinas are going for thousands now :shock: ,its crazy ten years ago you couldnt give away an old granada/cortina :lol:
