Well since that's wasn't really relevant to the thread then it begs the question, why did you make the point, and once again it makes you look like a racist.

So no change there then :-s

As part of the admin side of this forum, you are quite at liberty to see my registration details, so I think you will agree it would be a strange name for a female?

Or you could do a WHOIS on me?

You weren't stating facts, you were putting forward an opinion.

Indeed, to that extent your statement above is contradictory

Next time your in London, around 10PM onwards, have a walk up and down Charing cross road, Oxford street, Soho, in fact any High Street in our wonderful Metropolis, then come back and tell me its 'opinion' and not fact.

So what facts are you stating; I've forgotten already!

You did say something about London turning into a third world city - that's obviously an opinion/value judgement, not a statement of fact.

I assume you're referring to your email addy?

Well it could be a pseudonym or you could be using a partner's, or whatever.

In any case, assuming your sex on the forum would have been disclosing confidentially provided information, innit?

Given TDO's high ethical standards, that would never do

The point that was made, was that EVERY single tout / minicab tout that I see whilst working, and out in London socially, is a foreign national, with the vast majority coming from the African sub-continent.
Now given that Africa, in the main, is referred to as a third world country, I would say that my comment on London starting to look like a third world country would ring true to the majority of Londoners.
Perhaps its all sweetness and roses where you work?

I see your point, but the LTDA's piece re rickshaws is also clearly stating a view with respect to London turning into a third world country.

But that's also an opinion.

London is not a third world city by any reasonable stanards, so if you compare it to one you must be expressing an opinion of some kind.

However, the problem with your opinion was that it was based merely on race, and thus could well be construed as racist.

If your refering to colour, yes my comment could be interpreted as that.

But, in that i have not mentioned the colour of anyones skin in any of my posts..... mearly the Nationality of those people who tout on the streets of the capital. (former 3rd world country citizens)

To pluck one country out of the blue, there are white Nigerians, asian Nigerians, probably even second generation Oriental Nigerians.

Give it a few years, it will be the former East Europeans who will be stood there chanting, well however Bosnians chant 'taxi taxi'.

Maybe some will appear on a rank near you soon?
