Bid to install CCTV in all Aberdeen taxis

PLAN: The council wants to install CCTV in Aberdeen taxis.

TAXIS across Aberdeen could all be fitted with CCTV cameras, the Evening Express can reveal.

Plans are to be considered by Aberdeen City Council’s licensing committee in the next few months.

Today, Wednesday, convener of Aberdeen’s licensing committee Fraser Forsyth said the CCTV proposal had come forward from a previous discussion at a taxi consultation meeting.

That is a good idea, all taxis should be fitted with CCTV as standard. You can't put a price on safety!

Yes lets all get camaras in our cabs, Infact lets get them in our private cars,keep us safe for changeover,Or better still lets get them in our livingrooms,Feck it lets just get a computer chip inserted into our arm in case we get lost,,,,, NA im not wanting cams in my taxi and will not consent to it.I Feel safe enough in this world thanks.
