Sorry not strictly repairs and maintenance. I have a 95 Fairway Driver. It has a small boot like key on the center front section about drivers knee height. Can't find any reference to it in manual or on any web site. Anyone else got one and what does it do - appears to do nothing. Will post pic if wanted.

Sorry it's a small key in a lock in the center of the almost vertical flat panel of metal between the gear lever and the well where your pedals are. Will take a pic and post it this afternoon.

Metrocab had a lockable cashbox under the driver's seat. Any chance it's something like that?

A wild guess would say it's a fuel cut out of some kind ie an anti theft device. maybe linked to the fuel cut off solenoid on the injection pump perhaps??? :?

I'd go with that. Possibly linked to the auto transmission start inhibitor.

May have been bypassed if it was causing a problem at one time?
