Drugs Test (This was written by British Soldier- What he says makes a lot of sense!)

I work, they pay me.
I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order to earn that pay, I train for war and eventually deploy. I am required to pass a random urine test… for drugs, with which I have no problem.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a benefits cheque because I have to pass one to EARN IT for them?
Please understand that I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sit on their arse drinking beer and smoking dope.
Could you imagine how much money the government would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a benefit cheque?
Please pass this along if you agree or simply delete it if you don't. Hope you will pass it along though, because something has to change in the UK!! U.S.A.!! And in Australia!!

I think he makes a good point there. I remember a few years ago they did a blitz at the Barracks 7 soldiers tested positive for cannabis having recently returned from a tour of northern Ireland they were all booted out. So all that effort training them up etc. and they were thrown out for one negative test which I thought at the time was very harsh and yet as long s they know how to convince the job centre they are genuinely looking for work there are those who can afford to spend all day in the pub or sit up all night smoking dope and they will never have to suffer the consequences

Are you suggesting that it was the first time that any of them had used cannabis?

Cannabis use can still be traced in the body up to 6 weeks after use, they use a hair follicle to determine use.

Should CRDT (Compulsory Random Drug Testing) be rolled out over more of the population?

It is seen as an infringement of liberty and I understand that.

I can also see that there are people I do not want to have been drug using before interacting with me and mine.

I do not want the driver of the Taxi I travel in to be a user for example.

A few years ago my brother in law lost his job at Mars after a random drugs test. he claims that he didn't knowingly take any drugs but he tested positive for cannabis. He thinks it was from eating some "cake" at a party.
