Isn't the locking of threads a tad childish?

We're all big boys here, we take it, we give it.

And if the material is deemed offensive by the censor, why is it allowed to remain on the forum?

The whole thread locking gig is just illogical.

I agree but think it was done before Skull had a coronary.

Annoying as I was going to explain my dealings with the very professional and amicable cab inspector.

Good morning ladies. Another great morning working for the Cab Trade. Artur I'm with you. Mr Frank Smith is a lovely man and in my opinion very fair. He treats you like an adult and gives you the opportunity to tell him your side of the story. I was very fortunate to be offered tea and cake while I was there, a very nice touch I thought. I think that Mr Smith had already heard that Skulls license was being REVOKED and that is why Skull was treated as a dog. How apt really seeing as it is the Dod trade Skull is now seeking to exploit. Make sure you get the proper licenses, preferably without the red letters stamped on the front.

The City Cabs committee have turned City Cabs drivers from Primark Mannequins in to Savile Row Models.

Not only have the committee landed the most lucrative contract in Edinburgh's Cab Trade history, they have introduced an appearance fitting of meeting royalty. City Cabs are showing that they are the "model" hackney taxi company with a truly professional appearance and attitude towards the customers.

It's looking like City Cabs will prove they are worth the two year extension and that is a great goal to work towards for all concerned. Keep up the good work.

Not to a tumshie from the sticks like you I suppose.

Primark is a shop, a mannequin is a model that clothes are put on to show what they will look like. Savile Row is in London, an upmarket street in London. If your not sure of anything else let me know.

Have a wee look at the attached agenda, there are some extremely interesting items on the agenda that if in time are implemented will have serious and far reaching implications for the taxi trade.

But hey ho ss with every cloud there is a silver lining. The recommendation after the recent survey of demand will upset our Jasbar, no more taxis are needed James, well at least until after the completion of the next survey which is years away, ho ho.

You're a cab nigga for all time.

If you are having trouble downloading the agenda try the Council website under Council papers online, search for the Regulatory Committee meeting for the 3rd May.

As I say there are certain items which if implemented may have a devastating effect on your future incomes, and guess who is driving that particular item, yes the man Kim Jong Tony. I await your comments.

What I find is that over the last 17 years taxis rose from 1000 to 1300 (in the graph shown) Around 25% rough figures

Ph in that same period has went from around 700 to a little over 800. Around 15% growth over same period. One of jasbars arguments for derestriction is that pPH have been allowed to grow to black cab numbers unrestricted. Well figures show ph have grown less in that period than restricted black cab licences.
