Oh and Longshanks, the Halcrow survey is an irrelevance as it doesn't look at customer demand and how it's being met by other transport groups, which have grown out of taxi restriction. You are failing to compete, me auld mucker. All Halcrow proves is that you are losing your presence in the market and your competitors are taking all your work. #-o #-o #-o Think about it? #-o

I think we can all promise to stop posting names.

I share Kaisers sentiments Alex, this forum is great fun.

Like when have you ever posted your real name?

t*** #-o

Alex has asked that no real names are posted on this site, what part of that is it you fail to understand?

There seems to be a real anger built up inside you Skull!!

Why don't you try S&M Skull? You could vent your anger through this. You don't like authority do you? The Cab Office, Council and the RC have turned you over and you still feel violated.

Look Skull, [edited by admin] happens in life, it's not the end of the world getting your license REVOKED, grow a set of balls and get out there and find something worthwhile to do.

I've got a great idea for you and you'll like it. Too many people walk their dogs and don't pick up the poop. You could walk round parks and if you see anyone forgetting to pick up the poop you could step in and pick it up for them and dispose of it properly. This would also give you much valued experience for you opening your own Doggie Club. Just a thought Skull.

Everyone I speak to is wanting out the taxi game. What don't you get? #-o #-o #-o It's fuc*ed!! #-o

It's losers like you Skull that bombard people with tales of woe and lies suggesting the council, cab office are not worthy. You try to encourage people to think the taxi trade is bad because you got your arse kicked out.

If you want to work hard and provide a service for the public then you will earn a wage, nobody expects to be millionaires Skull.

Kaiser it's fu*ked and I'm not making it up or telling tales of woe. No one in their right mind would want to drive a taxi and no one driving a taxi wants to continue driving a taxi.

The hours are long, the pay is shi* and it's not going to get better anytime soon.

How many taxis are on the road at this precise time? Not one of those drivers want to be a taxi driver, give over.
Do you think you earn more money driving a taxi or working in McDonalds?

And which of the two is getting sick pay, holiday pay and perhaps even a pension?

And which of the two is being trained to provide ral customer service and benefits from real career prospects, and personal advancement?

And which of the two will be advised of their rights in the evnt they enter into a disciplinary process?

There are no serfs, just serfs.

Kaiser who the fuc* want's to drive a taxi for a living? It's SH*T! I was earning more twenty years ago, driving fewer hours, as an owner and as a driver. Everyone I speak to wants out and without a shadow of a doubt, I mean everyone. #-o You would have to be mentally retarded to want to do the job, which goes some way to explaining why you do it.

I'm glad that's how you answered the question Jazzy B. I'll drop you an application for McDonalds. I bet they wouldn't employ you!!

Unbelievable, Kaiser grew up wanting to be a cabby, #-o #-o #-o #-o while everyone else just wants to escape.

So how do you explain where all your work is going? :?

Oh and don't forget buses have expanded as have Ph and taxis from Edinburgh's surrounding areas taking work out of the city.

Actually, if your theory is correct and restriction works to increase your customer base, you should be beating the punters off with sticks.

I spoke to an ex-CRT owner last Friday, that sold out about six years ago. I told him I was out of the game, and that I used wake-up having nightmares dreaming I was still driving taxis. He was laughing because it was the same for him, he said, "you get that desperate to get out you can't believe it when it happens."

Or when the decision is made for you by your peers....
