why spend your £20K on a £7K car?....

repairing a Cat C gives you equity and cash left in the bank

but why buy a car that has been damaged, it can affect the structure of the car so if crashed again the crumple zones might not compress right, and there can be more damage that needs repairing that was not evident at 1st. the time and money it takes to repair the car and it affects resale value, not a good buy

cars lose at least 50% of their value in the 1st 2 years (some more), why pay that out?

let someone else stand it

Why not rent or drive for someone for a few weeks or months to make sure the job is for you?

May well be an expensive mistake if u buy and plate a car and then decide its not for you. You could also gauge earning potential this way too.

I drove half bag at first before taking the plunge

well i little valet on that superb will bring the interior to brand new again, and since the holes for the plate are there the plate is sorter, but the cabin space in a superb beats a mondeo, insignia, passat even a merc s class, the only VAG car that has more room in it is the audi A8 lwb, and that is saying something
me bloodnock, skippy, we have superbs and we love them as do passengers, i at the moment can't fault it really, my only real moan about it is the fact there is no rear wiper, other than that it is a literally SUPERB car

Not picking on you but....

what was your total bill for the car, £20000?

how long will you keep it, 3 years?

what will it be worth then, £8000?

Thats £12,000/3= £4000/yr or £77/wk to factor into your figures

in 3 years you will need to pay out MORE just to stand still (car wise)

too many think its just fuel, insurance and radio rent that costs

who said i am paying the full £21,000 for my superb? i am going to keep it for three years (seeing how things go) and then give it back, it is pointless for me to buy a car 2 years old + as my council only allow the saloon ph/taxis on for 5 years, thought i had said this many times in other threads.

it is on hire purchase finance, after 2 and a half years i can hand the car back or exchange it for a new car, or just keep it till i pay the full ammount and then then the car is officially mine, i just said i am intending to give the car back to henrys skoda glasgow after 3 years, i don't need to its just i am not willing to pay £21000 for a car

Seems its on HP, presumably utd had paid a deposit, (dunno how much) and after 36 months (and payments) he intends to hand the car back under the terms of the agreement
