There are a lot of problems re this subject. One angle that was thrown at me after talking about this, is this one.

We talk about exoneration/ a certificate from taking animals because a driver has an allergy!

What are the legal implications if a passenger gets into a vehicle that has been carrying a guide dog/any animal, and that PASSENGER has an allergy to animals? If they go into a medical situation such as one might do with a "Nut allergy" - are we liable?

I wouldn't think we are liable. However I do not think that the person who has an allergy to an animal will have the same reaction as a person who has a nut allergy. I think it is mainly sneezing and/or a rash.

I doubt we can be held liable if we are required by law to take the dog for a subsequent passengers ill health. personally speaking I am allergic to cats BUT i still take passengers with cats to the vets and have never suffered any reaction except the one time I had to help the customer get the cat into it's cage  usually you need to be in a room where cats live or have prolonged contact and the same applies to dogs I believe

No.

Also impossible to prove.

I wouldnt bank on that

a fit and healthy person gets into your car after youve carried a dog (any dog) and goes into anaphylactic shock due to an allergy (which can come on in minutes)......

a good lawyer and some swabs of your car and your public liability could take a hit....

never say never

Just how long would you need to be exposed to the dog to get such a reaction as an anaphylactic shock? I have read that you would probably have to be sniffing the dog directly for about an hour. How likely is this? Have there ever been any instances of a person going into an anaphylactic shock from exposure to any animal?

it can be almost instant, 5 minutes, 10 minutes....who knows

someone with a nut or seafood allergy can be struck in seconds

One doesn't normally eat dog. I'd recommend avoiding Korean food if you have an allergy
