Do any of you guys do the nightshift? i haven't done it for a few year but doing it this week seeing i have been offered to be one of the 4 priority cars for the week and accepted it, Sunday night was steady but last night was pathetic, and even got bumped off a guy who gave me a wrecked nokia told me he was going into his house to get the money i waited 10 minutes and he didn't show up, so just drove off, rejected one hire cause the guy had to be carried out to the car told them he wasn't getting in my car put a "997S" in and drove off, didn't get one good hire all night, hope it picks up tonight. Do you ever do the nightshift

21 years and few days mate... love it or leave it...

I work nights, well 4-12 on weekdays, as after midnight there is nothing about. Start at same time but finish later on weekends, usually 2-3am. Prefer nights as less traffic, shoppers and better fares. Downside is more idiots about.

Well done reasonable last night, done a few long runs even one all the way into Clyde bank (20+ mile run) but it was a contract fixed at £33, could have got a few bob more if i metered it

just back in, been out since 22:30 and since it hut midnight only had wee hires, i know its the guy controller, he only gives the good hires too his mates, the lassys are all okay but he is an [edited by admin], just booked off and came home, will see who is on tomorrow night but if its him im done and back to dayshift

As long as the smaller jobs are constantly coming through id sooner do them than longer jobs.

i'm not goin out tonight as thats me done, nightshift this time round was not so good, only made about £500 off it for the whole week and the last time i done it, the total income was around £1200, well going back out tomorrow for the normal dayshift,

weekend nights, then decided to come on around 1am till 9 or 10am as a lot of drivers go off between 1 and 3, you've gotta sus out the busy slots, it worked well for me the other drivers always commented on my good runs, well what would you rather do, sit there early evening too many cars on or come out to play when they've had enough and tired!

You are not wrong! I come out about 04.30 most mornings and usually do quite well as the night cars have gone home, either because they have taken their money or have got [edited by admin] off with sitting around doing nothing! and the day cars drift out over the next 3 or 4 hours!

As an addition to that I tend to do better on a Monday or Tuesday morning than any other days of the week.

totally agree dog eat dog, I had to learn quick in this game, no one gives a [edited by admin] if u take to it or not, and I soon learnt that my mouth and straight forwardness and bein down to earth helped me loads, especially the wk end nights with all the males, they soon learnt I didn't take [edited by admin] and as time goes by a great rappor was made, every male I picked up commented on me driving a taxi and would say I take my hat off to yah, u must have balls!! it was a car full of drunken women...now they were the worst!! lol

The groups of [edited by admin] up, 40 something women are by far the worst customers i pick up!
