You have got that right!

50k @ £100 per week not including interest is going to take close on the best part of 10 years to square up. If I had access to that amount of money (and I do) - I would NOT............... unless you are not giving us the full story. There is NO way that you give two years profits @ your figures - usually one year max in business unless you are talking in mega figures.........and you are not.

The cab in usage terms is probably a shed! So, in the next couple of years (already 7/8 years old) you will also have to shell out for another one........NOT A GOOD DEAL..................DON'T DO IT.

This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Make an offer for the plate only, if he agrees buy another car with the spare cash.

Ive got the money can sort it out in few days.
Price has gone up to 60k now as since few days his been getting alot of 50-55k offers so i offered 60k and he said its your not going to higher the price and told him to tell the rest its sold.
Going to sort out the transfer in few days untill i get the money sorted.
Thanks guys for your opinions but its best option for me as i dont wana sit back and it sell then regret it later as now rarely cabs sell as owners just dont want to sell them so when a cab comes up theres alot of intrest.

All I can say is your a bloody idiot paying that amount, why not force the council to delimit and get a free plate.
As you have already made your mind up make sure the vehicle and plate can be transferred to you first before you part with the cash

Hahahahahahah
Thats a verry clever idea isnt it get the council to De-Limit? Loool
Yh get council to De-Limit get a free plate and Boom everysingle person will run get a plate before you know it ranks will be conjested end up waiting over and hour to get a fare.
I know guys in Milton-Keynes, Wycombe places that have been de-limited and i know even the ones who wanted a free plate say it was better when was restricted.
50 cabs Restricted here is Enough and if it means me paying 60k to get in and work where i know ill make a decent living ill go ahead.

Does the age of the actual cab not put you off? I know if I were to part with 60k I'd want a new(ish!) vehicle out if it.

Either way good luck.

And if the Council de-limit anyway, you will be out of pocket to the tune of £60K.
