Whats the situation with these e-cigs in taxis then?
Are they legal for drivers to use with or without passengers?
What happens if a fare goes to get in your cab whilst using one? can you refuse the fare or not?
Has anybody any had any experiences with them and knows how the law stands?

I've used mine for over a year now and with no problems or complaints, I don't mind passengers using an e-cig, most users anyway do it discretely including my self, I hold it like I'm holding a pen, it can also be a good topic to chat about especially if the punter gets in the cab smelling like a walking cigarette.

My advice is, use your judgement, driving a punter we should always be professional, the actions of Smoking are the problem, I've broken these habits now.

E-cigging is the way ahead, it's a no brainer :D

We've had a letter from our Council this morning saying we can use them in the motors but, have advised us not to use them when we have POB.
