There's a lad who works with us who's one of them who'd drop everything to give you a hand if you were broken down, in trouble with passengers or needed a lift home if your car was off the road, the sort of lad who'd fit in at any firm.

Over the last few months he's been coughing a lot, (he doesn't smoke), I've been saying to him that he needs to get to the doctors. He's put it off and put it off until the week before last when he decided to go and see his doctor.

He's been for chest Xrays and MRI scans, on Thursday he was diagnosed with lung cancer the Advanced form of lung cancer.

It's such a shame, when I was told the news on Friday I immediately phoned him and said if there's anything I can do for you please ring me.

It's such a shame.

Weve had relatives taken from us far too early with cancer and heart problems, 45 years old and a mum (cancer) 46 years old (heart) the brother in law, and only 2 weeks ago a close family friend (40) to cancer

sometimes life doesnt seem fair, and it puts your own problems like cars and money into perspective

I know smoking doesn't cause all nasty diseases, but it accounts for many. And that's why I love these e-cig things.

Yeah, JD - he knew all about my tardis model rover 75 - nice guy - he pleasantly phoned my office one day and asked my staff all about me - he then called my licensing department making enquiries....about me.

A bit like my late father-in-law, ex RN WW2, survived MTB duties in the Channel, late in life had a colostomy op, pulled through that ok, was at home for a couple of weeks. He didn't answer the phone one weekend. We went round and found him dead in the hall. He'd tripped over the electric heater lead and broke his neck!
