I think the driver and the courts have been had over. I don't believe that part of the Equality Act 2010 is in force yet.

I think you'll find it is but I stand to be corrected.

What isn't in force yet are the requirements for equal access to taxis. Some think they may never be.

165 1 Oct 2010 (in so far as relates to, and for the purposes of, the issue of exemption certificates under s 166) (SI 2010/2317) Not yet in force (otherwise)
