The problem with both City Cabs and CRT is the disconnection between its members and their interests and that of the committee. This is about corrupt self-serving individuals using their positions on the committee to further their own interests. And if that means selling out their company and its shareholders to get into bed with the opposition, then so be it. The members are all sheeple who are there to be sheered, and the sad thing is, they might actually have a point. :-|

But surely the committees have to do the best for the drivers, and in the case of the firm that got the contract surely their drivers are ok with that, else they would leave.

The members, have lost control over their committees. A mixture of poor communication and apathy put the committee in command through the proxy voting system. They solicit votes from shareholders prior to the AGM/EGM to load the dice against the members who actually turn up to the meetings.

I read somewhere that if you have a group of people, greater than 150 individuals, then breakdowns in communication are commonplace and apathy becomes wide spread. In short, the committee, for the most part, just does as it pleases.

Interests are then served from the top down (the committee) instead of the bottom up, their members or shareholders. :-|

Alas that is all too commonplace with so-called driver owned circuits, but my point is more along the lines the lads on that circuit must be well pleased to get the airport, even if they do share it with PH.

And if that is true, then surely that committee have done the best for those drivers.

Or are the ones ranked up there doing so by way of protest?

A fair point, however, what if everything turns to shi* five years down the road, when your benevolent Ph company no longer requires your services, once you have assisted in the further expansion of their business interests, to the detriment of your company and the trade, as a whole?

Oh and then certain members of your committee decide to jump ship to the competition, job done?

Not saying much on this thread as sadly it has been like many other threads full of sad personal stuff and devoid of facts.
On the point you made re the coffee lady skull sorry whoever "they" are they told you wrong
She is there every day and the machine yiu talk off is just an alternative.
Just thought it would be nice to talk facts instead of rumours!!

Oh really, I got that information direct from the horse's mouth, after she had been approached and given her marching orders. Someone must have reconsidered their decision, you wouldn't know who by any chance? #-o

How's that for fact, HSSC?

I bought a coffee from the lady in question, and she told me her services were no longer required at the airport, subject to being replaced by a coffee machine. This would be roughly a month ago. :D

You're absolutely pathetic Skull. I thought you were leaving this forum? I can't be arsed entertaining you when you're going to come out with nonsense. Just get on with your life. Maybe the pain from having your licence REVOKED will pass if you detach yourself completely from all things taxis??
