That is true, but what will your motor run on if you don't have any fuel?

Loads of people moan about all these wars about oil, but don't give an alternative.

Remember how bad it was when the tanker drivers blockaded the refineries?

Times that by 100 and you will get what it will be like if we don't fight all these wars over oil.

But who actually admits its a war over oil? I for one dont believe that we go to war for the sake of those poor feckers and to get shot of their nasty dictator governments.

Well said Blackpool.
Yeah and be prepared for retaliation by nutters bombing our people in this great country of ours but hey as long as we "justify" that we're going to war to save their country who gives a toss about how their record on human rights and how they treat their women etc

Very well said, and you get get all the applause such comments deserve from people who don't live in the real world.

You might not be aware but this world isn't all fluffy duffy.

Not of my making, but that's the way it is.

The rights and wrongs of the matter are side issues that folks like you can pontificate all you like, but the world is bad, and that's it.

If your happy with it fine,im under no illusion how corrupt our goverment, media, police force are.The sooner we start running out of oil the better,do you not think thats when they will start looking at alternative energys.Right now the Saudis are happy keeping oil at the right price for us to trade with them, definately one of the most corrupt regimes in the middle east.

So why go to all the pretence that these wars are for altruistic reasons? WMD's, democracy, human rights etc.
It's bollocks and nobody buys it.

Why didn't Blair stand up in the commons and announce "we're invading Iraq because we're basically a bunch of cvnts"?

Because the public don't like the idea of soldiers fighting for oil, buts take the terrorist line hook line and sinker.

I dont like war or people getting killed for any reason but if the likes of iraq and afganistan where powerful enough, would they come for us? i suspect they probably would

now if all our oil runs it and we are held to ransome buy the likes of iraq and co, its our great grandkids that may pay the price, do you really want that to happen

as human beings we could all share the wealth of the world but we dont, its all ways been that way, iraqs pakistsanis and who ever else are just as greedy as us,

i would love to see the world unite but it aint going to and while every race or relligion fights for supremacy, should we sit back and watch and not protect our childrens future

Just a thought

It has nothing to do with our grandchildren's future and everything to do with the greed of the very wealthy.
Would you go next door with a shotgun, kill all your neighbours, burn their house down and steal their TV? Just in case their grand kids might do it to yours?
