Can't we have one to tidy the threads up a bit and all the other stuff for normal cars in another forum?

Happy to start one, if no one else wants to. However Taxi Driver Online is such a great Forum, Bulleting Board etc. Perhaps they would like just to add a section for Fairways. As most Fairway owners no longer run their vehicles commercially, they may not want to. Perhaps "the Team" administrators can comment.I Would only start one with their ok.

Personally I think we have too many sections.

Some of the really huge forums have less sections than TDO.

I also like to see how the poor souls from around the world deal with their motors.

Me I would squash the lot of them. Vehicles not members. :D

Seems to work all right as it is.
I can remember when Skodas were rubbish cars.
It seems like yesterday.

New Forum for Private Fairway Drivers and Owners at http://fairwaydriver.org. I'm the only member, so it's a bit quiet. Love this forum and the taxi drivers drivers are a wealth of knowledge, but I sometimes feel a bit of a cheat as I'm just a private owner.

There's a load of knowledge available from ex fairway pilots on here.
No need to feel awkward as a private owner as there are few fairways left in commercial use now thanks to Loony Livingstone and Bonkers Boris. What do you do with a London Icon ?. Get rid of it.

Did anyone else see Top Gear on Sunday ? They took a black cab round a racetrack (didn't do so well, no surprise). They also mentioned that the London turning circle was introduced due to a requirement for all cabs to be able to negotiate the roundabout at the Savoy Hotel - is that true or just a myth ?

I think it must be true, I've seen a very old photograph of when they were first made with them parked outside the Savoy, which said it was for that very purpose.
