Is the beardmore the one with the cab open on the passengers side?. I remember a japanese friend of mine bought one years ago and took it back to Japan.
I know he had massive problems importing it,it had to be virtually rebuilt to pass all sorts of inspections.He also took a Morris 1000 traveller,apparently worth an absolute fortune over there.

I don't know why more manufacturers didn't use the perkins engines I used to have a montego with a 2 litre perkins diesel damn good engine worst thing i ever did was getting rid of it and switching to a WAV !

I used to repair boats and had a lot of respect for the old Perkins engines. They might sound as rough as hell after loads of use but usually started easily even in cold weather and ran reliably.
