Been let down by local firms to rent a ph so now thinking of getting my own have been told earnings are around £1000 pw before expenses so the question is whether to take the gamble of financing a car and if so how much to spend iam no mechanic so all work would be at a garage car would be a skoda superb 2010 costing £10000

Don't jump in with both feet, test the water for a good few years before you decide what to do.

Don't saddle yourself with a newish motor and a plate then rent a datahead from a company only to find out they've been spinning you a yarn.

These PH companies will tell you that their drivers are earning £1,000 a week, that'll be the ones that are looked after, the ones who've been there years.

It's the truth though isn't it? I've heard it all before, 2come to work for us you'll be earning over £1,000 a week no problems".

Fast coming to the conclusion that the more you try and get back to work after 2 1/2 years out of work the less you are likely to succeed all I want is to hold my head up high and provide for my family perhaps that's to much to ask for these days

Don't be dishearted. It may be better to buy a cheaper motor to start with. Make sure you get it checked over thoroughly and then keep it well maintained. If you like the job and earn enough money then buy a better one. I don't understand why you're having so much trouble obtaining a vehicle to rent where the devil are you?

So you would have to work around 90 hours a week to achieve the £1,000 take. How much would you take home out of your £1,000? And how much will that work out per hour?
