I passed my luton hackney carriage-private hire taxi test few weeks ago and i have been working private hire there renting a car, The work imo is good there better than mk i make good enough money there.
My main reason to pass in luton was to drive hackney carriage there ive been talking to the guys on the rank there about buying and ive been offered a 2008 peugeot e7 Xs with plate for 35k, so wondering if theres any one on here who has knowledge on the luton trade and knows whats the going rate for a hackney taxi there?

Been in the trade a few weeks and now wants to spend £35,000 on something that could be worthless in months.

Make sure if you get a job into London from the airport, you then drive around with your for hire sign illuminated like all most other Luton drivers seem to do, dreaming of being a London taxi driver.

Is having amnesia (and the ability to make up the extras) a requirement of being licensed to work in Luton?

I never aspired to own a yacht, ferrari or a villa in Marbella to chavy for me,maybe more suited to you.But it has brought up two kids and paid for house. As for a 'state of the art LTI taxi' you know very little if you think a tx4 is state of the art
