Congratulations on your website. As A Licensing Officer l'm not sure I will have time to read all the contributions, but I've already taken note of the Hastings online newsletter! :)

Thanks, Mr LO.

Wigan MBC also has a newsletter available online, and no doubt there are a few others.

The more info that can get to those it effects, be it trade press, council sites or the likes of TDO, the better. Cos in my experience less than 5% of the trade, have any idea on what's going on.

Well Johnny you could be right.

5% of the HC trade would be around 4,000 vehicles and perhaps 8,000 licensed HC drivers.
5% of the PH trade could be 6-8,000 vehicles and say 10,000 licensed PH drivers.

So do 18,000 drivers have a clue what's going on in our trade?

So yes you are quite right, 5% is perhaps a little high. :(

Yes about 5% too high.
We just go out to work, get paid, go home, then hope for the best.

I think the apathy bit will always apply, but I do think that drivers are more aware of the issues at play in the trade.

It's just that most of them couldn't give a f***. :-s
