Its not about my Rates, its about the Freeloaders mixing it with Genuinely Disabled that is my gripe and not about how much I can cream off them.

You guys just cant see the Genuine from the Malingerers..or In Rose tinted Glasses Land that you liberals live in you chose not to see..

By giving into mobility for the Malingerers your giving less to the truly needy.

I have an idea - before they start chasing the fraudulent disabled, why don't they go for the larger fraudsters who are avoiding tax and fiddling expenses, all research suggests the rich are robbing the country on a far larger scale than the poor.

Not often I'm called a liberal

Actually it's not about your rates, it's about your exaggeration of what amounts to little more than the price of a return bus fare. Not to mention the inference that most if not all claimants are idle spongers trying it on.

I'm not blind to the needs of the genuine and I'm not prepared to screw them all over just because some (and by no means all) are maybe getting something they don't need.
Surgical skill is what's needed here to weed out the fraudsters, not a maniac with a machine gun who doesn't care who gets hit in the process.

For your information, according to the DWP, benefit fraud is estimated to account for less than 1% of the total benefit bill.

Aye right...1% is about as much as they can catch fiddling. Maybe you go about wearing blinkers or Aberdonians are incredibly upstanding citizens and have no need to fiddle the systems due to wee Ecks oil mines creating localised prosperity, but around here its a standing joke as to how many are getting mobility cars with no discernible need for one.

Where ever there's a Scheme there's a Schemer...that's life Gus.

I'm not Advocating using Machine Gun Charlie either, but something has to be done in order to target the money towards the truly deserving and then to spend it with some beneficial precision rather than make us all spend £Billions needlessly on the remote off chance that one of these wheelchair users decides to give up their mobility car for a day and take a Taxi or a PH instead. Common sense dictates that not every wheelchair user will need a WAV at the same time at the same place so why cater for that unlikely event. Would it not be better for all if there were Specialist Companies using purely WAVs that could Take upwards of 90% of all wheelchair customers thus making it Viable for them through a consistent amount of regular work from that sector.

It's just like Supermarket, Airport or any other Car parks...100s of Disabled Parking bays and less than a fifth of them being used at any given time nor likely to be, a complete waste of land that is.

How gullible are you bloodnock? We have hard evidence of genuine disabled people loosing benefits and some dying shortly after. You prefer right wing dogma and local tittle tattle

Honest people don't know how to work the system, unlike fraudsters who do. That makes them far more likely to give the wrong answers to ATOS witch hunters than the unscrupulous.

What we don't have is any evidence that the savings are being spent on the remaining claimants. Did you read that one in the mail too? Next to the picture of IDS with his blunderbus, standing on a pile of corpses, wheelchairs and prosthetic limbs?

Maybe these People would have died in any case, I cant see how removing a mobility car from someone who does not truly require one is going to kill them!. It is you that's Gullible Gus, you obviously underestimate the scale of Benefit fraud.

Another anomaly and unfairness that Motability throws up is that if you qualify for a the Mobility allowance before your 65 then you keep on getting it until you drop down dead regardless of your age, why should it be that those who lose their ability to get around at say 64 years of age get mobility allowance when a 65 year old who loses the their ability to get around will not get the same allowance? That only encourage 55/65 age group borderline Scammers to lay it on thick at their GP's in order to beat the Deadline for a freebie motor.

Like I said before, I'm all for the genuinely Disabled getting help, But i'm buggered if we should be turning a blind eye to the scroungers hiding in their midst for fear upsetting a few others or liberal lefties, Appeasement is not the way forward here, factual appraisement of each individual case is.

Like I said, you've bought the scrounge narrative hook line and sinker. Who needs evidence when you've got gossip and the lies of the Tory press.

Yes, they probably would have died anyway. That's not the point, is it? THEY DIED BECAUSE THEY WERE SICK. A fact completely missed by ATOS and the scum who employed them to cut welfare, any way they can. And despite your assertions, the saved money doesn't go on welfare, it funds bankers bonuses, politicians expenses, foreign wars and tax dodgers. Not forgetting the profits of ATOS and the lowlife who work for them.

You can be sick but not Disabled, you can be Disabled and not sick or you can be both Sick and disabled.

But this thread was about increasing mobility options for the disabled to the point of unaffordable and absurdly extreme levels. I do not need a copy of the Daily mail or any other paper to see daily the abusers of our welfare states generosity. They are there for all to see unless of course you bury your head in the sand and deny that anyone other than a Banker or politician would ever dare try and cheat their way to extra mobility money.
