A person that I know invalidated his insurance by driving whilst drunk. All the injured people from the ensuing accident were paid out from HIS insurance, not the motor insurers bureau.

So was this drunk person driving a private hire car at the time?

No, but what difference does that make. The point is that by driving drunk, you invalidate your vehicle insurance but the public can still claim.

"White Citroen Dispatch", no mention of "E7"..........

if white is acceptable for a PH whats the problem?

tough, cos half the 7/8 seaters on the market look like it

theres only TWO mentions of Euro or E7 in the HC list

Chris, can you confirm a NON-E7 8 seater Scudo/Dispatch is acceptable to your local HC chaps?

I'm on the rank and just asked that question, and the reply was no as it still resembles the hackneys in this town

the basic shape of an E7 is not a lot different to most 7/8 seaters, do you want all of them barred from PH use?
