I did Nidge, they're just too cramped up front for me after 3 years in a Vito.

Plus, the extra room in the back is handy for the airport ranks.

Ah they still haven't addressed the age old problem of cramped driver space?

A better idea is to ban taxis from McDonalds car park, then drivers won't be so large, so they won't need to make the drivers cab area bigger. Simples..

43k!!!!! Bloody hell man, I thought a tx4 was pricey, hope it serve you well wih low running costs

A new TX gold, with finance costs about £41k nowadays.

I thought it was about 35k? But the second you take the tx4 out the dealers that tight turning circle will come in handy to drive it back to the garage for repairs, the Vito will have cheaper running costs as it iz built by ze Germans

Well I'm defiantly putting less fuel in.

I'm not going to offer you some whizzy figures and exact MPG's over the last week etc, but the last one was always over £40 a shift, this one so far is around £36.

That's the good news!

Be as defiant as you like - eventually it will run out of fuel and you will definitely have to put more in!

That's good, and I'm slightly better with my Eco engine, but how much would you be putting in a TX if you had one? :-k

I'm hearing low to mid twenties on the tx4.

They'll get slaughtered if nissans 40 odd mpg claims are true.

Well I drove it up North last night, it returned 37 mpg. Not the best for such a long trip.

So far the roof pods been stuck down properly, a bit of trim in the rear needed sorting, and there's a vibration coining from the centre console, but that's about it.

Liking it.

Rws upgrades coming in march from one80, new actuators and ecu.

Well that's over 6 months and 13,000 miles, and I'm pleased to report apart from a loose roof pod, I've had zero problems so far. Service due at about 20k.

I have a 10 plate vito and I'm finding it almost impossible to source any parts that form part of the penso conversion. KPM and 180 engineering have gone into administration.

Forgot about this thread :D

There's very little to report really, it's a year and 2 months old, it's done 32000 and had it's first service back in July.

The only problems have been a radio speaker in the door panel, that horrible scraping noise as the rear drums (parking) seem to let stones etc in, and of course the rear wheel steering needed new actuators before it's annual plating.

Quite enjoying it really.

There's a relaunch in January with a brand new MERCEDES developed rws system which is apparently 100% right this time, and the dealerships will be named who will sell them after Kpm failed.
All looking good, they seem serious about staying.

The vito taxi club is now our collective voice on all things vito, and Mr Cantys doing a great job with Mercedes up in Milton Keynes.

That shouldn't be the case.

ALL Merc commercial dealers who deal with the vito taxi have access to parts within 24 hours from Mercs distribution centre in bucks.

S&B commercials who I use certainly do in their Hertfordshire and Essex branches.

Penso hasn't gone bust, they're very much alive and well, it was One80 / KPM who went bust.
Mercedes now own the intellectual rights to the rws system that one80 previously owned.

Have a look at the vito taxi website. Better still, join up for £30 a year.
