I asked my broker yesterday how much insurance would be for a newbie who has just gained his license and had a good driving history.

If he was aged 30+ then it would be £3,000 (ish) if he worked down here.

We have a chap here who only got his badge a month ago. He has just plated his brand new Zafira and his insurance is a tad over £1300. That is with Sabre.

It looks like we have sorted out our insurance for this year. We will be re-newing with Arista. Premiums are £950 for vehicles with up to 6 passenger seats and £1,000 for our 2 X 8 seaters and our 16 seat minibus plus the IPT at 6%. that is £150 per vehicle cheaper than last year. Not a bad result.
