It looks like we have sorted out our insurance for this year. We will be re-newing with Arista. Premiums are £950 for vehicles with up to 6 passenger seats and £1,000 for our 2 X 8 seaters and our 16 seat minibus plus the IPT at 6%. that is £150 per vehicle cheaper than last year. Not a bad result.

Do they cater for a private hire single policies? i dont need the fleet thing obv.

I don't know. I have gone through a broker. Wheels, their number is 01132 770707.

thanks buddy, will try them tomorrow.

Just going through mine now. Same as last year, fill in all the forms, 75% don't bother getting back to you and the rest either phone at 9am despite being told to call in the afternoon or to contact via e-mail only. Latest I phoned at 2pm, will get back to me with prices by 4pm - It's 5pm now, still waiting.

Still waiting for the call back from the company who said they'd contact me by 4pm yesterday. One other broker has called and given me a quote £800 greater than the renewal price for the company I'm CURRENTLY with !!

Same, except I knock £200 off. Or I tell them to give their lowest price and if they can't beat it they won't get the business, and I refuse to tell them who currently insures me until after they quote. I don't want them thinking 'we could do it for £1500 but as his lowest quote is £2000 we'll quote £1900.'

And after I get the lowest quote I go back to my current insurer and tell them I can get it cheaper and, surprise, surprise they always manage to offer a better revised quote. Sometimes I do it even when I don't get a better price.
