Cabfind.com Shortlisted In Business Travel Awards 2014

Wirral-based Cabfind.com is in the running for a national accolade after being shortlisted in the Business Travel Awards 2014.

The organisation has been shortlisted in the category for Best Ground Transportation Company.

Organised by industry publication, Buying Business Travel magazine, the awards have been a long-standing fixture on the industry calendar for 18 years already, and they continue to bring together the travel industry’s leaders and top corporate clients.

The final stage of the judging process will take place in November, ahead of the awards ceremony on 20 January at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

Established in 2005, the organisation operates from its headquarters in Birkenhead. The shortlist announcement follows Cabfind.com’s recent Innovation Award win at the Wirral Business Partnerships Awards.

Cabfind.com pioneered the first generation of dynamic taxi booking systems. Now UK market leaders, it specialises in nationwide ground transportation services, and manages the private hire transport needs of corporate clients and the public sector with a virtual fleet of over 120,000 vehicles through a network of 1,300 approved suppliers.

The news has delighted Cabfind.com business partners and brothers, Chris and Tim Jordan.

Chris Jordan, managing director of Cabfind.com, said:

“The Business Travel Awards are one of the industry’s key events, so being shortlisted is wonderful recognition. To go on to win the award would be the perfect ending to what has been an exciting year in the continual growth of Cabfind.com.”

Tim Jordan, operations director of Cabfind.com, added:

“Now we are within touching distance of winning another title, we relish the prospect of adding this to our recent Innovation Award. Being recognised by industry experts is testament to the continuing work from our committed and dedicated specialist team.”

Mike Toynbee, managing editor of Buying Business Travel magazine and chair of the judging panel, commented:

“We were very impressed with the detail and creativity that went into the composition of all the entries. This by far has been the most difficult year to date to judge as the standard across the board was quite exceptional.”

I'd go as far to say, "illegal cab firm shortlisted for award".

A bit like the supermarkets, they force down the price from the supplier (us),and make a huge mark-up to the end user.

Now we know what farmers have to put up with.

A complete shower of [edited by admin] IMHO. At the station where I work, all white ticket jobs have to be invoiced to cabfind.

In my previous job I spent many years working in credit control and I thought I'd heard every excuse under the sun for invoices not being paid.

Cabfind took this to a whole new level. Barefaced lies and a complete clusterfuck of inefficiency doesn't begin to describe it.

I hate these parasites who are leeching on the back of other people's work. Sadly, the companies that employ them don't see the damage they are doing.
