I have my business bank with Santander. Today I went to log on and the login has changed because the account has changed from Alliance and Leicester. I had no new details so the screen told me to use my old details for a one off login. I put my details in and received a message saying that the details were wrong. I tried again and got the same message. I knew my details were correct so I tried again. I got a message to phone the bank. I phoned and had to wait 15 minutes before I could speak to a human to be told that my password had been blocked and they would need to post out another one. How long will this take to arrive? 10 working days!!! How the hell am I supposed to pay my bills online without access for 10 working days!!! I can switch bank accounts in 7 working days so how the f**k does it take 10 working days to send out a new password????

useless shower or so and sos tbh everytime you call them they always seem to be experiencing high volumes of calls and you can never get through to anyone that can actually solve a problem first time

I was using their online banking today and had no problems but they have been changing the site around a lot recently. But i must admit i came close to switching when they threatened to start charging a little while back the thing is it is free banking which no other bank does or at least not with the level of facilities of Santander so for the time being i will certainly stick

Grandad just as a suggestion do you have the facility to pay the bills via a cash machine you do have to remember the number for each payee but if you know them you can use a cash machine to do the transaction

You're lucky, the other day it took me 45 mins to get through, then I was transferred for another department that took 40 mins and I was then put back on hold while the person went to check a few details. A grand total of 5 mins short of 2 hrs listening to their choice of bloody 'music'.

Next week I will be in Spain. They sugested that until I get my new password that I use the telephone banking service. Like I an going to be paying international call rates for god knows how long whilst I am in a queue.
The fact remains that it shouldn't take 2 weeks to get a password reset. Most other banks that I have dealt with can do this either in an email or over the phone. Why 2 weeks? How long does a first class letter take to be delivered these days?

I get the point, but surely you have a personnel account at another bank? Sometimes free is not always best, I have never thought Santander as business bank. So apart from free, why do you use them?

He does take a lot of holidays for a taxi driver, perhaps he's smuggling pork pies?

Porkpies and Stilton cheese. I also take Cheddar cheese. I only take hand luggage because everything else is already in Spain. If I have any electrical items in my hand luggage and a lump of Cheddar cheese, my bag always gets searched because the x-ray machine seems to show the cheese as looking like a plastic explosive and if there are also wires and a battery showing, well they do get a bit worried. I tend to empty my bag into one of the trays now so that it avoids the problem.
I go to Spain at least 4 times a year but my wife goes a lot more than me, she needs the break, if you know what I mean.
