For me its months off yet...still. But how was your first day?
What stood out for you? What would you change? What did you have for lunch :) ? Your chance to relive those memories!

Who wants to go first?

I went out, picked up punters, and they paid me.

All very exciting stuff.

was it what you expected?

its the first runner, puker, arguement and accident you need to worry about, and the car breaking down, running out of fuel, etc

First day was great, met lots of new people and had good chats with them, the earnings were good then as well.

It's the following years of 'been busy mate' + 'what time you on till' grinding down from smelly, rude, drunk, disrespectful dossers and nutters that's sapped my will to live. Which I can put up with if earnings weren't decreasing and costs increasing eusasmiles.zip

Such was the firms desperation for drivers, I was given a job after nothing more than a 5 minute phone conversation, and was duly told to turn up one evening. A brief explanation of how to use the datahead and off I went.

Unfortunately, whilst I thought I had a good knowledge of the area, it turned out every other job I struggled to locate. Even some of the pubs I didnt know.

It was stressful, and I was laughed/shouted at down the radio a few times, but It mustn't have been too bad as here I am some years later still doing it! Luckily my first shift was a tuesday night, which gave me a few days to get used to everything before all hell broke lose on the saturday.

Drove for the firm for a year on a "half bag" arrangment before putting my own car on.

Unfortunately, Now it's hit and miss whether a saturday will be any good, let alone the rest of the week.
