I have been chasing around liking for the printed bill and I can't find it. I do see that the second reading is tabled for 24 January 2014 and not 08 November 2013 that I was expecting.

Does anyone know if the bill is printed and available?

No bill, not in the normal sense.

Last line of the original post?

Bill read the First time; to be read a Second time on Friday 8 November, and to be printed (Bill 121).

What a load of tosh, CCTV does not stop crime at all. Most of our streets have CCTV but we still have muggings, fights etc. Most of our shops have CCTV people still steal from them etc. etc. etc.

People who commit crime fall in to 2 categories (in my opinion) 1. people who have no moral code and think it is fine to act the way they do 2. the rest of us who take temporary leave of our senses and do something we later regret, on the spur of the moment.

It's not just about preventing crime, it's having the evidence to prove/disprove any allegations of wrongdoing as well ;

A customer complains you were rude,
A customer claims you overcharged or went the long route,
A customer alleges you made inappropriate remarks,
A customer alleges you made sexual advances or assaulted them,
You are involved in an accident.

CCTV would clear you in all these cases, unless you were guilty of course.

Disagree.

If you was a thug/thief would you attack a cab with CCTV?

There is a third category, and that's people who think they will get away with it. Those in that category hate CCTV.
