Isn't it quite interesting, in a week when three councils de-limit, and a number of court cases are taking shape, the liars and their bum wipes start getting a wee bit tetchy. :D

Without a doubt Taxi Driver Online is doing it's job.

Or maybe I should mail all the other members who email addies ive copied from the meberlist and tell them that this forum is 'BENT'

Clearly your lack of knowledge on data protection law is on a par with your complete lack of knowledge on taxi licensing law.

You should do a 'Legal Eagle' column in Cab Trade News.

I'm not sure what your Merseyside mate was trying to achieve with his childish antics Mr T, but he's about as much chance of being more than a minor irritation with TDO than the 'anarchists' have of influencing Blair and Bush at Gleneagles. :D

Deleting the nonsense he posted tonight is quite easy, and I've got a LOT of patience.

But we've got his details and his IP address, so any further nonsense and his ISP (NTL) might get a call about forum abuse

dont worry guys, luckily for the trade people like us "anti de regulationists" exist, i think we know our market better than a bunch of guys who are not even taxi drivers whining on about how it is unfair that such and such area is restricted, and that so and so's plate values are £x many pounds, and that surveys are biased, blah blah blah.

you guys should get a reality check, the local drivers in the areas know best, if a city only has space for 80 cabs, what is the point in issuing another 50 licences?? do the maths and use your brains.

Au contraire Mr Ums, it's because we're drivers that it's so easy to expose your pallid arguments for what they are.

It's because we know the trade, you see, not like those who are easily fooled, like Gwyneth Dunwoody, for example. :-s

well matey i guess we will just have to agree to disagree, we will see what happens, you have to remember the councils that de reg make a knee jerk reaction to satisfy you guys, but like i said we also know our trade and we can also use legal arguments, just because you guys dont like surveys, you call them fixed.

I bet the same councils that resist you guys now will be resisting you in three years time.

Resistance is not futile!!

Well there are 237 councils who have decided to change their policy from Quantity control, most of those councils are now practicing a policy of mainly quality control. Can you cite any council that has been pressurised to change its quantity control policy? Because I can cite you many councils that have been pressurised to retain such a policy.
