Thanks wannabeeahack. Already got this info. I was trying find out what areas of MK to concentrate on for knowledge test. I've got myself a good map, So just learning all the street names at the moment. Plan to go solo once up and running.

quite often, if you ask, the LA will provide a list of 50 or 100 addresses and require you can navigate from a selection of them to another, these are set locations just for the test

There are hardly any streets there they are all bloody roundabouts

I would steer clear of MK.

Apart from London, the only place around there that still seems to set reasonably high standards is Northampton Town,

It will take you a year to gain the Taxi license, but I hear its worth it. A friend of mine recently gave up working in London and is quite happily working weekends there.

He claims he still does just fine by working Fri / Sat / Sun up there.
