Cabfind.com Awarded RGF Funding Ground transportation market leaders Cabfind.com has been successful in gaining a grant from the Regional Growth Fund (RGF).
The grant was awarded by Wirral Council, and it will enable Cabfind.com to create 30 new jobs.
Cabfind.com pioneered the first generation of dynamic taxi booking systems. Now UK market leaders, they specialise in nationwide ground transportation services, and manage the private hire transport needs of corporate clients and the public sector with a virtual fleet of over 120,000 vehicles.
The RGF grant will help them create a new Software Development Centre and deliver new solutions enabling customers to book via desktop or 3G Smartphone Apps, creating 30 new jobs at their headquarters in Birkenhead.
In 2012, Cabfind.com managed 600,000 individual customer journeys and recorded an annual turn over of £13.2 million. This is expected to grow by 14% to £15 million this year.

With the help of Invest Wirral, we will be able to create more jobs and deliver a seamless and efficient booking experience.”
This is the latest accolade for Cabfind.com. The organisation has been shortlisted for Best Ground Transportation Company in the national Business Travel Awards 2014, winners will be announced in January. And recently, it scooped the Innovation Award at the Wirral Business Partnerships Awards 2013.
Through its own £5million RGF grant to develop the offshore wind industry in Wirral and as a partner in the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LCR LEP) RGF programme, Invest Wirral – Wirral Council’s business support team – is able to offer targeted grants, encouraging inward investment and enabling local companies to diversify.
Invest Wirral worked with Cabfind.com to identify its business needs and supported them throughout the RGF application process.
