Just in, not as good as last yea, pubs didn't seem that busy, quite a bit of out of town work and money wise on par with a decent Saturday night. Loads of no jobs though

Same here, I think I had 4 no shows on the trot which wasted me an hour of premium time. It's the last Black Eye Friday I ever work.

The streets looked quite empty! strangely I was kept on the go most of the night and did not see other cabs hanging around for any length of time. In a nutshell there must have been consistently enough for everyone to keep going. If I had been offered what I took before I went out - or gamble that you might take more - I would have taken what I did in a shot........but the streets were definitely quieter.

One other thing - being an independent hack............no missed calls - no, no shows :)

50%down here in New Romney, even the Indian restaurants were shut by 2300  !! We went to bad just after midnight. :?

Today's a different matter; 2 jobs New Romney to Deal, 72 mile round trips, kerchinggg; 3 Ashfords so far at £30+ per trip, loads of odd evening jobs, not too bad. :)

It's been ok down here, but in the past I have taken considerably more.

But in fairness I didn't expect to take considerably more this year.

I was a funny day yesterday, daytime was eerily quiet up until about 14:30 then all of a sudden it went funny for 3 hours.

Night time was really funny, steady but not busy then, at 00:30 this morning it just died for some strange reason. Not many flaks about at all.
