A police car was driving the wrong way down a one way street in town. No emergency or anything, just cruising. One of the taxi drivers stopped him to ask why he was driving the wrong way because it is against the law. The copper replied "I am the law" Is that so matey.

1. They arent obliged to use blues and twos on all calls

2. They arent obliged to explain themselves to all and sundry

If the driver so wishes he is more than entitled to make a formal complaint.

I believe they can circumvent certain traffic restrictions 'for police purposes!'

However, I would doubt that would include travelling in the wrong direction in a one-way street without appropriate precautions.

If they are on a call, they can do it. But here they just go the wrong way all the time.
