Err, no, you have a monopoly on the ranks, private hire can't ply for hire and you operate a cartel with your councillors to keep others out of the market, that's hardly what I would call competing.

Anyway, I don't doubt that there are some meritorious aspects to licensing in Sefton, but what I was alluding to with the term 'medieval' was the system that allows you to sit on your backside drinking Auchentogle triple malt or whatever while your council facilitates this by forcing your drivers to line your pockets. Or should I say your serfs? :?

12 Survey every 5 years paid for by the hackney and private hire, 2 pounds on every licence ,no waiting list , we work on managed growth, everyone is included,"seen all the cons with waiting lists".

Sums up your manor to a tee.

Your council is charging the PH trade for something that has f*** all to do with them. Exactly where in sec 16 does it mentions PH demand? :?

Taxi SUD surveys are exactly that, surveys into taxi demand. And your council expect the PH trade to dip into their pockets to subsidise taxi quotas. [-(

Confirmation if any was required that those representing real drivers, not the pretend ones like you, are indeed a shower of s***.

SUSSEX..Just because someone does not agree with you does not mean that they are a shower of s**t, and just because we in Sefton work in a democracy does not meen we are a shower of s**t it just means that you need to keep taking the pills and make a new appointment with your doc,.....if I was you I would tell him about your nose   ..mrT

My main issue is with national leadership (if you can call it that :? ), I don't doubt for a second there are many good folk doing their best at a local level.

As for democracy, how many of Sefton's voters voted for taxi quotas and plate premiums? :?

How many cars has this outfit got,?

Someone may well challenge that five year survey eventually, if indeed it is five years.

And I could go on, but as you say we do get it wrong, don't we?
One last thing, last week there was a meeting with the management of De*** and members of the private hire from across the country, getting together to make one big p/h co??.
big fish eat little fish... mrT....P.S..WERE ARE YOU.or is that a secret.?

What private hire members might that be then? Let me guess, you haven't a clue?

This outfit better hope sefton don't lift numbers or they will be right in the chit. You might find the owners who are pressently driving for Delta may get hackney licenses and set up their own radio circuit then tell Delta to go stuff their radio. What's Delta going to do with no drivers?

A private hire firm is only as good as the drivers who keep it afloat, you might do well remembering that.

2...o/k..but that is in hand........

SUSSEX It is obvious by now that you are one of those people that say ALOT, but do nothing,
I do not think that you would join the t&g and try to change it???
I do not think that you represent your trade at council level.
But if you do you are bad at it
You said about the real world , you have to be part of it to judge...
......love mr T...

I must admit 850 is a lot of cars. How many do you think are double tracked?

Err, no, I was saying that PH can't sit on the ranks, and thus can't compete with you in that way - it was you who was claming they were competition.

As for multi-owners, again I didn't claim that there weren't any in unrestricted areas, but the point is the excess profits that you are making.

As for my location, Bournemouth, innit

850 at 75 a week would give him 3.3 million a year gross, before expenses. I suspect his ten percent charge on account work will get him a little nearer the 4 million mark, does he also service vehicles?
