One driver logged on at 3am Saturday morning and was still out at 5am this morning when I knocked off.

For him to start at 3am he must've got up at 2am then driven all the way from Derby to Sutton. Around 4am this morning he got a Nottingham off the rank, we all thought he would make his way over to Derby and log off because he was closer to Derby. Did he hell as like, at 5:30am he was coming back to Sutton to carry on working and on 28 hours working time.

He's an accident waiting to happen.

Our council are telling us that we must log drivers hours. They haven't told us what to do with the information yet.

You say Loged on so he must be working for a company ? It should be them telling him to log off and go home.
Dont think much of any company that would not. Its there name if there is a accident.

There are drivers here who regularly do 24 hour shifts.. Probably only a matter of time before someone falls asleep at the wheel and kills themselves or their passengers.

One of our drivers took a Stanstead pick up, flight landing a 23.30, at about 10.30 today.

By the time the punter clears customs etc, and the car gets back to here, it will be about 3.00am at the earliest.

I wonder if dead punters can pay.

The company taking the bookings also has a duty of care not only to its staff and contractor, but to its customers. There's the chance that in the event of a fatal accident, corporate manslaughter charge could well follow if the company KNEW the driver had worked excessive hours.

I agree, but after the 1000th time of reporting such incidents I think f*** it.

Correct you allow the driver to work for those hours you are equally guilty and will a do minimum 5 max of 7 stretch and hopefully be banned for life from having a proprietors license and an individual one =D> =D> =D> =D>
