SKULL I would have the Scots and Micks well front of the English and ten million light years in front of the taffies in the likelihood of growing a back bone.

Just as a matter of interest. How do you equate championing (as you put it) the "Micks" having/growing a backbone, when they have taken an out and out battering over in the Belfast taxi trade like no one else has taken on the mainland???????

I do not see the Welsh capitulating on a scale anywhere near it.

I have not followed that issue in much detail ....................industrial issues in an illegally occupied territory with an in built SCAB army THE ORANGE SCUM OBVIOUSLY TO ME would not be representative of the area.

The dig about taffies was a bit of tongue in cheek ................aimed at you John! :D

THE 200 KM FRENCH TAILBACK WAS CREATED BY ORGANISING ..................SURELY THE BRITS ARE CAPABLE OF FOLLOWING THEIR LEAD.......... #-o

It cannot and will not happen in this country as they have laws in place that stop it.

The last attempt by hauliers was very much a non event as it curtailed the real reason for doing it i.e jamming traffic up.

In Cardiff we gave the statutory notice of a collective drive through and were limited to 20 cabs = futile. Law wise you cannot do it, otherwise the Union leader/rep will/can be locked up.

John i have never had any problem about breaking LAWS particularly TORY anti worker laws =D> =D> you reckon they could arrest 4000 cabbies bollox and the Union bod says i told it was illegall but such is the feeling ...........................they have done it anyway......................surely we should discuss this issue seriously to prevent another DEMO......................................simpleS

By the way why warn the council about a drive through completely amateur ffs JUST FEKKING DO IT.............................WOULD BE MY TACTIC :D

I posted a reply to this earlier in the day - somehow it has disappeared.

JOHN to be quite honest your idea number 2 above is ridiculous, to abandon members from representation to stop all Union activities for christ sake.......no thanks

Not exactly sure, but my reply went something on the lines of this.

You are quite right it is ridiculous, having said that a suggestion bordering on the ridiculous may not be far off of the mark.

If you look back (Google) the last 50 years, the Army in this country (or most certainly a section of it) was considering a take over - yes that's right, a " Coup d'état" of the government of this country, so what I am suggesting, is not so off the wall as it may seem. I am thinking similar along the lines for the Trade Union movement i.e of local branches breaking away - if done en bloc then the leadership would have no alternative but to resign.

Many people in all walks of life sign up to "Make a difference" only to be thwarted by those already in power, weighed down by numbers within already corrupted, hence the saying "You will never beat the system". The reason I mention that is because they all try the conventional way, the proof that the conventional way does not work is staring you/I in the face.

The changes/suggestion i.e " Coup d'état" have to be taken seriously for anyone to believe that we can move forward - no other way has worked, think as already mentioned in earlier posts - "Alternatives". The changes have to be made from within - not from the outside as you say, as it will not come from the ground floor membership.

i DONT AGREE THE GROUND FLOOR MEMBERSHIP WILL BE RECEPTIVE ....................INDEED ARE RECEPTIVE TO SUCH IDEAS........... =D>

Just a little bit more to show what you are up against, that will not be changed by conventional means....................

Research Note 112 | 20 July 2012

Trade Union Rich List 2012

Public sector trade unions have set aside substantial war chests in preparation for a further wave of strikes against cuts in public spending, a public sector pay freeze and changes to pension schemes.
This new research reveals that many trade union bosses receive six-figure remuneration packages. At the same time the unions they work for receive substantial subsidies at taxpayers’ expense. In 2010-11 the subsidy amounted to at least £113 million, both in direct payments and paid staff time.1 That massive subsidy eases pressure on trade union finances, frees up funds to organise industrial action and could indirectly support executive pay.
The key findings of this research are:
 According to their most recent annual returns, 36 trade unions paid their General Secretary or Chief Executive posts remuneration of more than £100,000.
 This includes the bosses of many prominent public sector unions, including those that have already launched or threatened strikes:

Name Union Total Remuneration.

Christine Blower NUT £142,363
Brendan Barber TUC £139,634
Len McCluskey Unite the Union £122,434
Bob Crow RMT £121,687
Paul Kenny GMB £121,000
Billy Hayes CWU £119,790
Mark Serwotka PCSU £116,429
Matthew Wrack FBU £115,724
Dr Hamish Meldrum BMA £115,188
Dave Prentis UNISON £108,516
Keith Norman and Mick Whelan (remuneration split over accounting period – see main table for full details) ASLEF £176,417

Total pay and perks for the General Secretaries and Chief Executives at the 36 trade unions in the report was more than £4.6 million.

And there is more......

•The following well known union bosses – unlike most public sector workers – have not been subject to a freeze in their own remuneration over the past year:

Matthew Sinclair, Director, The TaxPayers’ Alliance, said:

“Taxpayers will be staggered by the hypocrisy of union bosses who, while playing at being class warriors, lead strikes which disrupt the lives of millions of people and pocket six-figure pay and benefits. Union campaigns to defend generous pensions in the public sector could result in even higher taxes for the families picking up the bill – who generally receive much less generous pensions themselves. Unfortunately those campaigns are supported by thousands of activists put at the disposal of these union fat cats but paid for at taxpayers’ expense. We need an end to the subsidies and a government that stands up to attempts by these highly paid hypocrites to extort even more money out of the hard-pressed British public.”

The point being; It is not so much as to what Mathew Sinclair is saying, but more to the point that the unions are multi million pounds businesses, with salaries and perks rivalling the Prime Minister. The income with no hassle to the likes of the GMB must be in the region of 1.5 million pounds per week not including grants from their paymasters, plus massive income from investments and god knows what else. Take it from me when you start to look into the wealth of the Unions - you are not going to change management through the ballot box.

UNIONS NEGOTIATE FOR THE RATE FOR THE JOB............................many on that list dont earn their££ ........................one two think their the dictators of North Korea.....................some interesting Court cases in the pipeline.................details of which i cannot publish on here................but rest assured democracy and accountability are topping the nightmare AGENDA for a few Union gen secs =D> =D>and then theres more on the QUISLINGS LIST

Of course some of the drivel above is ridiculous .........................Gen Secs never are class warfare warriors which is what they should be ffs............and of course they do all within their power to prevent strikes the traitorous basterrrds ..........other than one or two exceptions..............Serwatka...........and Bob Crowe .........and as for taking advice from the **** inspirred Tax Payers Alliance fek off

Hard pressed British Public indeed by the FEKKING Tory vermin.........................most definitely not by Unions ...................who if they had any guts would have had a GENERAL STRIKE BY NOW ...............AND ALLEVIATED THE PRESSURE ON THE BRITISH PUBLIC =D> =D> TO THEIR BENEFIT NO BEDROOM TAX BANKSTERS TRIED AND LOCKED UP THE ROYALS DITCHED THE NHS SAFEGUARDED THE RICH TAXED TIL THEY SQEAKED WORKERS RIGHTS RE ESTABLISHED ETC ETC =D>

i NEVER GO ALONG WITH THE GROVELLING ATTITUDE "IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN" OH IT WILL IF YOU STAND UP TO THE KUNNNNNNNNNTS =D>

DOUP DE TAT THE ARMY NAZIS WOULD HAVE DONE IT THATCHER THE SLAGGGGGGGGGGGGG RENDERED IT UNNECESSARY ............ASSISTED BY THAT SHYTTTEKUNNNNNNNT KINNOCK................FEKKING PARASITE :D............AND OF COURSE THE VON WINDSOR SHYTTTTTTTTTTTTE
