this isnt getting any easier is it...

as a PH you either have an ops licence or run via a base with an ops licence, whoever has the ops licence takes the booking, if you pay base rent you dont take bookings (unless your HC, when you could)

so forget bookings, you rent a radio, you take jobs off it

Uber seem to think that if you have a private hire licence you can take bookings off them!!!!

There is a very simple answer to this situation and I can't believe that you haven't yet done it, or maybe you don't want to hear the answer. You won't believe any of us so just ring up your licensing officer and ask the same question. They will be the ones who will prosecute you if you do it illegally so just go by their answer. If they say no, don't do it, if they say yes, carry on. Simples.

Im not going to do anything illegal obviously...
im exploring the options. After all accepting a booking from Uber ( who seem to be thriving in London) is just another way for the punter to book a vehicle to get from A to B. Why cant accept a booking from Uber( i know i cant! you guys have let me know :D )when its quiet at the taxi office im working for?

Ive asked the LA authority already...

This is a theoretical question!

Never mind theoretical...

You cant because..... with no OPERATORS licence (£1500 in Birmingham) your not an operator and cant take bookings

or in London

Only if they have an operators license for your Council.

Why would you want to be using an app that is for London?
