For once you're correct , I do live in the shadow, however like most radical clerics, you're very selective in your choice of religious interpretations.

Well, I'm waiting for you to show me where I have it wrong? And I am far from selective in my choice of religious interpretations.

This forum is littered with stories of blind people being refused access to taxis/Ph because they are accompanied by a guide dog. And don't forget those who are avoided without their knowledge.

So let's have it, tell me where I have got it wrong?

But Mr 187ums agrees that those drivers that refuse guide dogs on the basis of their religion are wrong, and should either adhere to the laws of the land or get another job. He has said that on many occasions.

The interpretation you put up said that that means all muslims should refrain from the trade, but that is but one interpretation. And to accept just one is akin to accepting that all muslims are raving nutters, which we all agree they are not.

IME, muslims use their religion as an excuse as when they want to.

I carried loads of guide dogs in my time as PH, never ever had a problem.

Can we not generalise please?

Christian me doesn't like taking dogs, but like everyone else have no choice in respect of assistance dogs.

I'm certain that some muslims, many on religious grounds, hate taking dogs, but like everyone else have no choice in respect of assistance dogs.

Okay, do a search on google, Yahoo and You Tube, and use Islam and Dogs as your search words and come back and tell me, that my interpretation is the exception and not the rule?

I actually did a little research before coming to my "interpretation" if that's what you want to believe. :-|

You could be right, but when I looked into this a while back I was sent stuff saying that the law of a foreign land (i.e. us) can trump those kind of interpretations.

Same applies with carrying pork and booze.

What maybe is being alluded to is that religion trumps everything, and clearly that's not the case.

However, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. And when you have blind people and guide dogs being refused access to Taxis/Ph and religion is behind the vast majority of these occurrences, then there has to be a problem with people's faith-based beliefs. Well, I looked at the Islamic faith, and there it was. :-|

I'm finding it difficult to understand your point of view, but you do seem to have a deep seated hostility towards the Muslim faith since the soldier was murdered in London.

I have a deep hostility against all faiths but Islam in-particular. I think it is the most pernicious of all faith-based beliefs. If it were up to me, I would stick all these religious nutters on an island and Nuke the fu*king lot of them. Don't get me wrong, if you want to believe in fairy stories, that is up to you, but I don't want to hear about it being used in justification for killing people or refusing blind people a taxi for that matter.

As for refusing guide dogs, if you do the research, you will see that, in most cases, it is faith-based. :-|

It is also contrary to the law
